+Elias Vamvakas – Chairman, Greybrook Capital Inc.

Mr. Vamvakas is the Chairman of Greybrook Capital a private equity investment firm based out of Toronto that is focused on acquiring and operating companies in Financial Services, Technology and Healthcare.

Mr. Vamvakas is also Chairman and CEO of TearLab Corporation (NASDAQ/TEAR, TSX TLB), an ophthalmic device company developing and commercializing novel, lab-on-a-chip technologies that enable eye care practitioners to test for highly sensitive and specific biomarkers in tears at the point-of-care.

Prior to TearLab, Mr. Vamvakas co-founded TLCVision (NASDAQ/TLCV, TSX/TLC) in 1993 where he served as President and CEO until 2003.

Mr. Vamvakas’ as CEO, built TLC into the largest eye care service provider organization in North America with revenues of more than $300,000,000 as TLC opened or acquired more than 100 laser eye clinics, over 200 mobile laser sites, more than 250 mobile cataract locations several ambulatory surgery centers and through it’s subsidiary Vision Source Inc. developed the largest independent Optometric Franchise with more than 2,000 locations.

TLC’s stock, listed on the TSX and NASDAQ since 1996, appreciated to well over $1 Billion during his tenure.

Mr. Vamvakas is actively involved in the management and operations of several Greybrook companies and serves as Chairman of Brandimensions Inc. and Nulogx Inc. Mr. Vamvakas also serves on the Board of Jameson Bank and the National Golf Club.

Mr. Vamvakas has received many management awards from industry and his peers.

  1. Mr. Vamvakas was named to ”Canada’s Top Forty under Forty” in 1996. An award that recognizes the top 40 Canadians under the age of 40.
  2. In 2005 he was also voted “best of the best” by his peers.
  3. In 2000, Mr. Vamvakas was recognized by Profit Magazine for managing Canada’s fastest growing company (TLC) with over 25,000% growth over 5 years.
  4. In 1999, Mr. Vamvakas received the Presidential Medal of Honor from the Illinois College of Optometry.
  5. In 1999 he was named Ernst & Young’s Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year for Innovative Partnering and Entrepreneur of the Year for Ontario in the Emerging Category.

+Roberto Drassinower – Principal, Greybrook Capital Inc.

Roberto is an experienced technology business leader and operator. He is currently deployed as CEO of Brandprotect, where he engineered the turn-around of the core business from declining revenues to 75% year-over-year growth. He also serves as the CEO of Nulogx, a leading canadian transportation management solutions company and publisher of the Canadian General Freight Index.

Prior to joining Brandimensions, Mr. Drassinower founded DME Consulting Inc., a management consulting firm specializing in strategy and M&A. Clients include Corel Corporation, AOL Canada, and BCE, where DME advised on several acquisitions with aggregate revenues north of $200 million.

Prior to DME Consulting, Roberto served as CEO for SoftQuad Software Ltd., a company he acquired through a management buy-out and subsequently took public both in the U.S. and Canada. Previously, Mr. Drassinower was president of Carolian Systems, a network management software solutions company.

+Alan Peck – CFO, Greybrook Capital Inc.

Alan oversees the cash flow and financial accounting for Greybrook, its portfolio companies, as well as contributes to the management and direction of Greybrook. Alan is also involved in acquisition due diligence and post-transaction transition management, including the integration of new companies into Greybrook’s group of companies.

Prior to joining the Greybrook team as a principal, Alan was the CFO of Brandimensions. He was responsible for defining and executing Brandimensions’ financial strategy, as well as enhancing the quality and performance of its internal financial operations, human resources, legal, treasury, and related information systems. He shared the responsibility of developing and executing Brandimensions’ overall business strategy, successful achievement of its financial objectives, and delivery of fair value to its shareholders.

Prior to joining Brandimensions, Alan held the position of Director of Finance for the Unisys Government Transformation Center. In this role, he was instrumental in designing, building, and managing an integrated service delivery, financial, and quality infrastructure that became the strategic backbone for the Unisys Global Public Sector business.

Alan has also served as a Senior Financial Executive for technology, manufacturing and distribution organizations throughout his 20-year career, with a solid track record of improving, solidifying and maintaining each company’s financial position, human resources management, treasury operations, and information systems. Alan received his CA designation from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto.

+Suh Kim – Principal, General Counsel, Greybrook Capital Inc.

Ms. Kim came to Greybrook Capital Inc. from OccuLogix, Inc. (NASDAQ: TEAR; TSX: TLB), where she had been serving as the General Counsel. She brings to her current role the experience of having been the chief legal advisor and a member of the senior management team of a dual-listed public company together with the varied and broad corporate and securities law experience which she had gained at Torys LLP before her tenure at OccuLogix.

Prior to commencing legal practice, Ms. Kim had served as Executive Assistant (Chief of Staff) to a (now former) senior federal politician. She holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto, and she is qualified in Ontario and New York State.

Greybrook Health Management Team

+Sasha Cucuz – President, Greybrook Health

Mr. Cucuz serves as the President of Greybrook Health where he is responsible for all Greybrook Health subsidiary companies. Mr. Cucuz works closely with  his management team to ensure that day-to-day operations are fully supported and that each company’s management teams are executing their strategic plan.

Prior to his appointment as President of Greybrook Health in 2010, Mr. Cucuz was a principal in Greybrook Capital’s Capital Markets Group from 2005 to 2010. There he was responsible for sourcing and evaluating new acquisition opportunities for Greybrook as well as providing capital markets and corporate finance services and M&A advisory to both portfolio companies and other clients within the firm’s chosen verticals.

Prior to joining Greybrook Capital in 2005, Mr. Cucuz began his career at TD Securities after playing hockey professionally for 3 seasons within the Philadelphia Flyers organization.

+Maddie Walker – COO, Greybrook Health

Mrs. Walker currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for Greybrook Health where she is responsible for the execution of the business strategies and lending primary support to day-to-day operations of Greybrook Health portfolio companies. Mrs. Walker provides the operational perspective on the details required to manage the business from developing the policies and procedures to the processes necessary to facilitate the delivery of the services and acquiring and training the human resources necessary to support the growth.

Mrs. Walker spent 10 years at TLC Vision as the COO from the beginning in 1993 to 2003 during which time she was instrumental in building TLC into the largest eye care service provider organization in North America with revenues of more than $300,000,000. She personally managed the expansion of over 60 laser clinics and hired over 700 employees. She was additionally responsible for Human Resources and as such developed the training programs for all clinic staff and developed the measurement statistics necessary to determine success.

Prior to joining TLC, Mrs. Walker headed her own consulting business for 15 years specializing in strategic planning, training and development, and compensation planning working within various industries such as healthcare, technology, insurance and transportation with such companies as Microsoft, CPM Pain Centres and HWF Insurance.

+Bill Leonard - President, TMS NeuroHealth

Mr. Leonard has been involved in the health care industry for over 20 years. Most recently, Mr. Leonard served as President, Bio-Pharmaceutical Division for Euclid Vision Corporation based in Herndon, VA. In his capacity, Mr. Leonard was responsible for the development and FDA strategy for a new biopharmaceutical drop with four eye care indications. The product has been recently approved to begin clinical trials.

Prior to Euclid Vision, Mr. Leonard spent 13 years at TLC Vision Corporation, the leading provider of refractive surgery services. From 2004-2007, Mr. Leonard served as President of TLCV Refractive Surgery Division. In his capacity, he was responsible for developing the overall business strategy and leadership for a division with over 200M in revenues, 900 employees, and a customer base of 13,000 eye care professionals. He was responsible for vendor and doctor negotiations and represented TLC Vision on the Refractive Industry Council.

He also serves on several boards for healthcare companies. Mr. Leonard is a 1987 graduate of Towson University in Towson, MD.

+Frederic J. Jouhet – President, A.M.S. Biotek and MacuHealth

Frederic J. Jouhet is the founder of several corporations operating in the wellness space created after acquiring and/or licensing unique intellectual property. A native of France where he was raised and educated, Mr. Jouhet is a graduate of the Université d’Auvergne, School of law and Political Science in Clermont Ferrand France where he receives a Masters in Banking and Business Law, as well as of The University of Michigan Law School where he received a LL.M. (Masters in Law).

Following his mandatory service in the French Navy, Mr. Jouhet became a Professor of Law. In 1991, he moved to the United States where he taught law and business at several North American Universities including the University of Detroit Mercy Law School and the University of Windsor (Ontario). Later on, he chose to leave the academics and opened a financial firm specializing in large real estate based financing through Wall Street Firm. Following a buy out of that entity, he became a wealth consultant for a Wall Street firm where he managed investment portfolios for affluent investors, corporations and charitable foundations and was also responsible for the day-to-day management and growth of local branches.

Mr. Jouhet is the President of A.M.S. Biotek, LLC, a biotechnology company using a series of botanical compounds for medical and nutraceutical applications against bacterial, fungal and viral conditions and MACUHEALTH LLC, a leading nutritional supplement for macular pigment health and age-related macular degeneration.

Frederic Jouhet lives in Rochester Hills, Michigan with his wife and two children.

+Stephen Kilmer – President, Kilmer Lucas and BioTuesday Publishing Corporation

Stephen Kilmer is the President of Kilmer Lucas Inc. and BioTuesday Publishing Corporation. He is widely considered to be an expert in cross-border investor relations and has been a frequent guest speaker and author on a wide variety of IR 2.0 and financial communications topics.

Prior to founding Kilmer Lucas, he was the Vice President of Investor & Public Affairs for OccuLogix Inc. Before managing IR for OccuLogix’s spin-out on NASDAQ and the TSX, he served as the Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications for TLC Vision Corporation, OccuLogix’s TSX/NASDAQ co-listed parent company.

The foundation of Stephen’s strong understanding of the financial media and capital markets is his earlier experience as a Senior Account Director with Marketwire and as a registered Investment Advisor with Merrill Lynch (Canada) and Marleau Lemire Securities. Stephen has been a member of the National (U.S.) Investor Relations Institute (“NIRI”) since 1997. In recognition of his expertise, he was elected to the Board of Directors of NIRI’s 400+ member Virtual Chapter in June 2008.

+Julie Fotheringham – VP Marketing, Greybrook Health

Julie serves as the head of marketing for Greybrook Health.  She is also a partner at Hageman Communications, providing marketing, communication and event management support to a variety of organizations.  She has 15+ years experience working in senior marketing positions in both consumer packaged goods and healthcare companies.

While working at Warner-Lambert and Pfizer, Julie led the development of highly successful marketing campaigns for major brands (Trident, Dentyne, Halls) resulting in double digit brand and category growth and leadership positioning. While working in healthcare, Julie developed a world-class scientific advisory board, marketing healthcare brands across North America and Europe.

Julie serves on the Board of Precious Minds, a charity that supports families with children who have a barrier to learning.  She holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in Biology from Queen’s University.

+Adam Crichton – Director of Information Technology, Greybrook Health

Adam joined the Greybrook group of companies five years ago with Brandimensions and has worked in technology for fifteen.    He participated in the first Canadian network television video streaming events, architected web farms handling tens of millions of page views a day, and has expertise across a wide range of technology and telephony applications and platforms.   He currently also presides as an IT Management Consultant for Nulogx and IT Manager for Brandimensions and Brandprotect.

Prior to working with Greybrook he worked with The Globe and Mail and Bell Globemedia as a Senior Systems Administrator as well as operating his own consulting company working with small and medium business clients.

Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts in General Psychology from the University of Waterloo.

+Jennifer Jurinic – Director of Operations, Greybrook Health

Jennifer began her career in healthcare in 1999 when she was employed by TLC Vision Corporation for a period of almost five years, as Patient Consultant and later as Professional Relations Consultant. At TLC she gained a tremendous amount of ophthalmic clinical experience as well as professional experience in business development, marketing and promotion, and project management.

In 2003, she joined Philips Oral Healthcare (a division of Royal Philips Electronics) as Territory Manager for almost two years, and expanded her network within the dental industry. Jennifer then came full circle in November 2004 when she re-entered the vision care/medical industry and joined a start-up, Veris AMD Centers. At Veris, she applied all of her previously acquired knowledge-base and skill set through increased responsibilities where she assumed the roles of VP of Market Development and later VP of Operations, as well as General Manager of the flagship clinic.

Jennifer enthusiastically joined Greybrook Health in March 2011 as Director of Operations whereby her main focus is opening and managing centers initiatives for the Greybrook group of healthcare companies.

Jennifer is a 1998 graduate of the University of Toronto and also holds a 1st degree black belt in Shotokan karate, actively training and instructing in her free time.

+Greg Barrow – Director of Online Marketing, Greybrook Health

Mr. Barrow currently serves as Director of Online Marketing for Greybrook Health where he is responsible for the development, monitoring, coordination and execution of the company’s social media campaigns, web development and online marketing strategies.

In Greg’s current role with Greybrook Capital, he also sits as a Web Developer and Graphic Designer for Nulogx, BrandProtect and Internet911.

Prior to joining Greybrook Capital, Mr. Barrow headed his own media company for over 10 years, specializing in web development, graphic design, email marketing, search engine optimization and social media marketing.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Carleton University.

+Doug Payne – President & Chief Operating Officer, Nulogx

Doug Payne is the President & Chief Operating Officer of Nulogx bringing over 25 years of experience in the Transportation Industry and is responsible for building our franchise network of all Nulogx products and services. He has a proven track record of leading transportation companies through growth.

Prior to joining Nulogx, Doug held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Consolidated Fastfrate Inc. and was President of PBB North American Transportation. Doug started in the Intermodal Transportation business in 1982 as a Senior Partner in Sunac America and sold the company to Clarke in March of 1994. As President of Clarke Logistics, Doug grew the company to 17 offices in Canada, USA and Mexico and helped it become one of the largest 3rd party companies in Canada.

Doug is a past Board Member of the Intermodal Marketing Association a current member of Supply Chain & Logistics Association (SCL) and has been active in many other Transportation Clubs and Associations. Doug graduated from Sheridan College with a degree in Business Administration with a Sales and Marketing Major.

+Michael Kiefer – General Manager, BrandProtect

As General Manager of Brand Protect, Michael oversees all aspects of operations within the company. He is directly responsible for customer and employee satisfaction and that the company meets or exceeds the goals, set by the executive board.

Michael is considered one of the foremost thought leaders in understanding the broad view of the Internet and impact of risk. Over the past 20 years he has worked globally with large organizations and government agencies.  Michael is a frequent conference keynote on topics related to Internet threats related to organizations revenues, rights and reputation.  Prior to Brand Protect he held executive positions with Cisco, AVAYA, Trustwave and ADP.

Greybrook Realty Partners Management Team

+Peter Politis – President, Greybrook Realty Partners Inc.; Principal, Greybrook Capital Inc.

Peter PolitisMr. Politis serves as the President of Greybrook Realty Partners and is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s operations.  This includes the management of all active residential and commercial development limited partnerships, investor relations, reporting and business development.

Mr. Politis has an extensive background in real estate development and management. His expertise include the structuring and execution of various real estate related capital markets transactions, including diverse structures of equity and debt financing involving various private investors and real estate developers. Over 10 years, Peter has acquired an extensive knowledge base of the residential and commercial rezoning processes, construction loan financing, construction and sales.  In addition, his responsibilities include presiding as the General Partner of numerous Greybrook limited partnerships.

Mr. Politis has extensive property management experience in Toronto and surrounding areas, as well as in the United States, specifically South Florida.

+Alex Riajskikh – Vice President of Marketing & Operations, Greybrook Realty Partners Inc.

Alex Riajskikh, Vice President of Marketing and Operations, is responsible for corporate development and alliances, marketing, investor relations and ongoing project management. On a project-by-project basis, Mr. Riajskikh is responsible for due diligence, the financial structuring of acquisitions and for raising equity and debt to finance residential development projects.

Mr. Riajskikh has held various positions of increasing responsibility with Greybrook since joining the company in 2007. He has built up an extensive level of expertise in private and public market valuations, acquisition and operation financings, investment structure and marketing.  In addition to the above mentioned duties, Alex manages the inside sales desk of Greybrook Realty, coordinating with private investors, third party legal counsel and developer partners for all Greybrook Realty Limited Partnerships.  Mr. Riajskikh has acquired expertise in the fields of OSC compliance, real estate tax law, debt and equity financing as well as investor reporting.

Mr. Riajskikh holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Toronto with a specialization in Finance.
